| Caltrain 917 idles on Track 6 at Diridon. 917 was one of the original 18 F40PH-2s that entered service on the Peninsula in 1985. In the late 1990s, the units were sent to Alstom, and rebuilt with Caterpillar HEP generators. Today, 917 is still in active use after nearly 40 years of active service. |
