NP Box Car 17314         
Northern Pacific 40-foot, 50-ton boxcar NP 17314 was in the Louisville & Nashville’s WEST SIDING in Pascagoula, Mississippi on 2 July 1958. The car had been built in May 1941 and had a CAPY of 100,000 pounds, a LD LMT of 123,100 pounds and a LT WT of 45,900 pounds for a gross rail load of 169,000 pounds. It was one of 900 cars in the NP 17000-17899 series built under Pullman-Standard Lot 5662 in May 1941, and some of these cars were renumbered into the Burlington Northern 100000-102999 series.
