The southbound Coast Starlight glides into the Paso Robles station with P42 167 on the point. The train is running on former Southern Pacific rails, now owned by Union Pacific. With the rerouting of most freight traffic over the Central Valley lines via Bakersfield and Stockton, the Coast Starlight and a smttering of local freights are the only regularly scheduled train on the portion of the line between Gilroy and San Luis Obispo. |
