BNSF 2336
BNSF 2336 is buried deep in the Interbay deadline at BNSFs Balmer Yard. The 1972-built GP38-2 had been parked here for nearly a year at the time of this image, and has an uncertain future. The engine was originally built for the St.Louis & San Francisco railroad, and still wears the Cascade Green paint it got when that road merged with Burlington Northern in 1980. Also in this line of engines are another ex-SLSF Geep and an ex-Santa Fe GP60B, both of which have been stored at Interbay for nearly two years.
