| Blackhawk. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Chicago, Illinois, on 3 November 1969. Photo Caption: "FM H16-44, PC #5161. Chicago, Illinois. 11-3-69." Penn Central #5161 is an H16-44 built by Fairbanks-Morse as New Haven Railroad number "1601" in June of 1956, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and renumbered "5161" following the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Fairbanks-Morse and Lima Diesels ~ Eastern and Canadian Roads" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (902-12). |
