RLIX SW1200 1206
Freshly-repainted Rail Link (RLIX) SW1200 1206 was on a westbound BNSF train at Cade, Louisiana and was on its way from Lyons, Georgia – where it had just been repainted – to LaPorte, Texas. The locomotive was a late-model SW1200, having been built in May 1965 as Southern Pacific 1610 and was quickly renumbered 2275. It was retired in December 1986, sold in April 1988, became South Buffalo 33 in 1989, then Buffalo & Pittsburgh 33 and then RLIX 1206. The SBRR, B&P and RLIX are all owned by Genesee & Wyoming, Inc.
