| This shows a very busy unidentified yard full of CRIP 2-8-2's. CRIP #2692 was built by Alco-Schenectady in April of 1927. Specs - 63" drivers, 215 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 355,600 lb and tractive effort of 68,227 lb. With an added booster, the te increased by 11,244 lb. The loco was retired and sold for scrap in January of 1953.No date or location was given for this photo but it is a Wm S. Kuba photo. |
