SBSE westbound at Hinsdale center. The cinder block building, which sat at roughly the same spot as the old Hinsdale Tower 53, was razed a couple of years after this point in time.
SBSE sports a "surprise" in the form of rare GP-20R 2103. Fortunately, this set of power would return later in the day as a light engine movement, and the 2103 would be leading.

TV-9 pops out of Washington cut at 08:00.
TV-6 labors heavily over the crest of the grade at MP 142 in Hinsdale center. The 6557 was somewhat of an "oddball", with the headlight mounting plate on the nose, and it always had those small digit number boards.
TV-6 has some added impetus, in the form of B23-7 2005, at it's rear end.
