Boston & Maine (BM) 1741 - EMD GP9

BM GP9 # 1741 brings an extra passenger car for the Mountaineer excursion train due to high passenger demand. CSRR 255 can be seen in the background.

Having cut off from their train, the power for the Notch train runs around to drag the consist out of the yard, passing by the 470 Railroad Club's gorgeous "bluebird" GP9

Conway's GP35 and GP38 start assembling their train to go Crawford Notch, while the 573 waits with the trip to Conway and back

I hung around at North Conway to get some photos of the equipment being moved around

Another runby at Cobb Farm Road in Bartlett. Lack of enforcement of photo lines made it hard to get good photos.

I wish we could have gotten a photo opp with the 1741 leading but they cut the first southbound runby at Hussey Field

The Maine Central Bucksport Turn was one of a very few trains to run on Memorial Day weekend, so I was lucky to catch it. Here it is, just getting underway at the MEC yard-now signed for Springfield Terminal, note the sign on the office at left-with a trio of interesting units.

Three years into the Guilford takeover, and our old B&M power is on the way out.
