Here is page one of a four-page camera study by William Moedinger entitled "Strasburg Rail Road." It was published originally in the May 1969 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 18. Bottom Photo Caption: "Last Decapod still operating in the U.S. is Strasburg No. 90, former Great Western 2-10-0, capable of heavy road service." SRC engine #90 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during June of 1924.
SRC-1963. Here is an original photo that I took in Strasburg, Pennsylvania, on 11 August 1963. Shown here is Strasburg Rail Road engine #4, an 0-4-0 "Camelback" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in March of 1903. It's pulling another trainload of happy railfans and tourists into the Station after a fleeting visit to Paradise!
