| At first glance, another black IC unit behind #6115 almost makes the nose of #6115 look like an Alco "Alligartor"! Illinois Central SD40-2 #6115 started out as Burlington Northern #6724. It was built by EMD in February of 1976. It moved over to the IC roster about a year later as IC 6724 but was renumbered IC #6115 around 1991.This is a photo from the Dennis E. Conniff collection and is now part of my collection. |
