The MP power is from a daily pool train out of Ft Worth; the MP units (GP35 625, GP38-2 917, GP35 656) weren't particularly welcome on the Santa Fe west of Clovis as most didn't have dynamic brakes (like 2 of the 3 here). In the background is a typical assortment of ATSF power at this time- S2 switchers; EMD F-units, Geeps and CF7s for the locals and Carlsbad line and big EMD and GE six-axle power for the main. |
