UP 1872         
PORTLAND OR Oct 2 1978 -- Union Pacific TR5A 1872 and 1870B idle at the Albina Yard engine house. EMD built the 1872 (b/n 15070) in September 1951. It was rebuilt to SW10 1234 on June 30 1982. UP 1872 and 1870B were mated in June 1976. EMD built 1870B (b/n 15076) in September 1951. It was scrapped at Omaha in June 1982. The 1234 was renumbered to 1237. In 1998 it was sold to David J. Joseph Company and then, "Sold to Mobile Locomotive Service, moved to Lake Terminal (Kobe Steel), Lorain, Ohio in November 1998 and January 1999."
