PRR 6744, M-1B, 1956         
MDiv. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by John Dziobko, Jr., that was taken in Lewistown, Pennsylvania, on 31 December 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6744, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A in July of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in February of 1947, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of service. In the background is the Lewistown Engine House; the turntable's at the right. ("Stoneborobranch"; #29 of 56)
