Description:  Nice photo of a 1922 Alco built 2-8-2 Mikado taken by Sid Davies on an unknown date. Since the tender is painted with the loco numbers, it must be after 1941 when the railroad dropped the large "C&EI" markings.

CEI 2-8-2 #1950 - Chicago & Eastern Illinois
Title:  CEI 2-8-2 #1950 - Chicago & Eastern Illinois
Description:  Although no different looking than the first 10 Alco Mikados built in 1922 for the C&EI, this has the distinction of being the first N-3 class built by Alco in 1923. Although no date was given, it must be after 1941 when C&EI remarked their tenders with the loco number instead of the large "C&EI" letters. Sid Davies photo.

This loco was a member of the H-7e class and I believe was originally numbered 6158. No information was included with the photo so the date and location are arbitrary.
