CSS 2007

CSS GP38-2 #2001 and #2007 were built by EMD in January of 1981 and both have been an active member of the Chicago South Shore roster ever since. The photo here shows the original bright yellow & black paint scheme upon delivery but in the mid-1980's, the two would receive the bright orange and maroon scheme. An unidentified rail fan took this color slide which is now in my rr collection.

As per usual, the local stopped and reversed past me. Note the different numboards on CSS 2007.

After over a month of constantly missing the CSS local, on February 13th I finally caught it again. The power was just the two normal orange GP38-2s, so I went for this cool wide angle and pan across this field. I think it turned out pretty well.

I get my first wave from a CSS engineer in a long time as CSS 2007 and 2000 get the local started again.

I am really proud of how this shot turned out, even if it was the same engines as the last time.

I wasnt going to let the previous awful shot be the only one I got of this train, so we rushed to the the State Road 4 crossing and got a much better shot.

We tried our best to beat the CSS to this crossing. We did, barely.
